Getting started

Connect Zoom

Let Mamabird create meetings, add join links, and pull attendance and recordings.

When Zoom is connected, Mamabird creates the meeting for every live session, adds the join link for members, and pulls attendance and the recording when the call ends. You connect it once for the whole community.

Before you start

You need a Zoom account that can install apps. If your organization restricts app installs, ask a Zoom admin to approve Mamabird first.

Steps

  1. 1

Open Settings and select Integrations. Zoom is listed at the top.

  2. 2

Select Connect. Zoom opens in a new window and asks you to sign in and approve the permissions Mamabird needs. We ask to create meetings on your behalf and to read attendance and recordings for those meetings only.

  3. 3

Choose which Zoom user hosts the meetings. If several people on your team have Zoom, pick the account whose meetings should own the recordings. You can change this later.

  4. 4

Turn on cloud recording if you want recordings pulled in automatically. Mamabird can only fetch recordings that Zoom saves to the cloud. Local recordings stay on the host's computer.

Select Done. From now on, every live session you publish gets a Zoom meeting and a join link without any extra steps.

If your team uses something else

You can skip this step and paste any meeting link into a session. Members still get the join link and calendar invites. Attendance and the recording will not be pulled in automatically.
