Your community is the space your customers sign in to. Everything else in Mamabird, from sessions to discussions, lives inside it. This guide takes you from a blank account to a community that is ready for its first invitation.
Before you start
You need a work email address and about five minutes. You do not need to decide on a plan yet; every community starts on the free tier.
Steps
- 1
Go to the sign up page and enter your work email. We send a six digit code instead of asking you to create a password. Enter the code to continue.

Name your community. Members see this name in the portal header and in every email you send, so use the name your customers already know, such as “Northwind Insiders” rather than your internal project name.

Choose your URL. Your community lives at a subdomain of mamabird.ai by default. You can point a custom domain at it later from Settings.

Pick who can join. Choose “Invite only” if members should get in only through an invitation from your team, or “Anyone with the link” if you want a shareable sign up link. You can change this at any time.

Select Create community. You land on the overview page for your new community, with the setup checklist on the right.

What happens next
The setup checklist walks you through branding, connecting Zoom, and inviting your team. You can publish your first session before finishing the checklist, but members will see a plain portal until you add your branding.
